Backups of data

Backups are automated and this website automatically updates daily.

Now that PsyToolkit is used by very large numbers of users, we were in need of an ultra reliable backup system, we started this in February 2025. Although we do not give any legal guarantees, we believe our updated system is in fact ultra reliable.

Data are stored on hard drives in a data center. Even though the data centers have dust-free cooled spaces for all equipment, even the equipment can fail. Therefore, all data will be stored on separate devices so that if one fails, you have a copy of maximally 24 hours old.

Despite the best efforts, we cannot be held responsible for data loss. When you collect data and if you want to be 100% sure, we recommmend you to download your data to your own computer.
